Terracotta, Lamma

Perched on the shores of Lamma Island, Terracotta Lamma is a bespoke hospitality project by Studio Amal that reimagines beachside dining through soulful, biophilic design . Collaborating closely with the founders, we transformed a historic building into a multi-level seaside sanctuary that feels like a true escape from the everyday.

Our design approach embraced minimalism to celebrate the structure’s heritage, preserving original washed brick and terrazzo tiling while flooding the interior with natural light . A palette of natural materials—terracotta, wood, bamboo, and granite—introduces organic texture and warmth, grounding the space in its island surroundings . From the intimate Captain’s Lounge with its communal wooden table to the sun-drenched seaside terrace, every detail is crafted for timeless sophistication and a deep connection to the outdoors. Terracotta Lamma is more than an interior; it is a serene sanctuary that invites guests to linger, connect, and belong .
